Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
Aleem was brought up in Ba, Fiji Islands. He graduated from the Fiji School of Medicine in 1999 and worked in the Radiology Department at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, as well as at Lautoka Hospital before moving to New Zealand in 2002. In New Zealand Aleem has worked in Wanganui District Health Board, Capital and Coast District Health Board and the Angiography Department of Auckland City Hospital before joining Mercy Angiography.
Aleem speaks fluent Hindi and maintains a strong connection to his place of birth and his extended family in Fiji. His strong clinical skills added to the special touch from Fiji will make you feel right at home.

Donita Choy: BHSc

Donita comes from Lautoka, Fiji Islands, and she moved to New Zealand in 1986. Donita graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 1995 and gained a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences in 2001. She has 12 years of clinical experience in the cardiac area having worked in Auckland City Hospital, Middlemore Hospital as well as in Saudi Arabia.
Donita also speaks Hindi fluently, and her experience in the cardiac area will ensure that you will be in safe and friendly hands.

Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Mercy Angiography works closely with Dr Parma Nand, a well known cardiothoracic surgeon currently practising in Auckland City Hospital and MercyAscot Hospital. He has extensive qualifications and working experience in Fiji, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Parma Nand specialises in Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery, valvular repair, aortic surgery and transplant surgery.
Dr Nand maintains a very close relationship with the Fiji Islands and he has made a major contribution towards the health and well-being of numerous patients from Fiji.
