Mercy Angiography first in New Zealand to be certified to perform PAVR

The Mercy Angiography team led by Dr John Ormiston has been formally certified to conduct Percutaneous Aortic Valve Replacement (PAVR) procedures independently. Mercy Angiography is one of only two centres in the Asia Pacific region to hold this certification after three successful rounds of procedures performed with international experts. We have now started to conduct Percutaneous Aortic Valve Replacements without overseas cardiologists.

 

Hazel Fernandes (RN) has also been certified by CoreValve to prepare and load the valve.
